I would classify this as hedonism but that’s based on my idea and scale of pleasure and understanding that hedonism isn’t seeking pleasure at the cost of something.
Still, the basedboy is clearly prioritizing maximizing pleasure as the ultimate goal in life. He is almost certainly not a father who has neither profound nor noble goals in life. He’s spending his Saturday morning smoking weed and cigarettes while eating a bowl of sugar in front of a screen. Chasing dopamine hits while trying vainly to relive his childhood (“when things were better”). Manchildren and DINKs are the worst.

They are absolutely right about the new globalist and other pressures that never existed at this scale before. It would be easy for me to state your post but I’m already can early career man who has a great trajectory. I’m not a high schooler or undergrad competing with four hundred Indians for even the most menial position.
You should never give up or focus too much on the excuses but people refusing to acknowledge unsustainable immigration and grinding away future generations’ opportunities for quick gain (or perceived gain) is what brought us to our current position. I’m Canadian so I see firsthand the negative repercussions of unsustainable population growth, prioritizing foreigners over citizens, housing crises and so on, often all done simply for boomer greed, globalism and self congratulations (“look how progressive we are!”).
It DOES mean anon has to work harder, be ambitious, adapt and pivot when needed. Not give up. But acknowledging the ruined social contract is important.
