Also something that the retarded writers at IGN failed to pick up on correctly was why Wendy could sense the buzzing noise emitted by the alien/crocodile. There was a scene prior to this where they were testing Wendy's hearing and established she could hear at least up to 75,000Hzs. So she can hear these ultra-high pitcvhed frequencies being made by the Alien like the ticking of the crocodile in PP.
