Bond Thread
Explain to me how this will be anything but a fucking disaster that finally kills the franchise.

>Bezos wants his new wife to be in the movie
>he'll be on set every day looking over Denny's shoulder
At the very least, the behind the scenes footage is going to be comedy

Why did they even get Denis? Amazon is gonna handpick every single creative decision

Why would Denis agree to do this movie? It makes no sense.
>has no control over anything, is a glorified hired gun just pointing the camera
>Bezos, Amy Pascal and David Heyman micromanaging his every breath and forcing their stupid ideas on him
>the movie is pozzed slop that ruins his career and reputation which he worked over a decade to cultivate
>his status as an auteur is finished
>just for a slop franchise like Bond
why?

Denis just showed he's not an actual auteur or a big-time director with this move. Huge waste of time and energy for no real gain beyond fulfilling a childhood wish.

the last Bond movie was Die Another Day, and there shall never be another

It's probably his childhood dream come true. Would YOU pass on the opportunity to make something you've been obsessed with since you were a child? He also probably deludes himself that he can actually realize his vision

a new Bond will make money. their profit margins will be in the trading the world hopping (it's expensive to have every scene shot in a different part of the world) by filming the whole movie in huge concrete warehouses

Yes, I would because the thing I loved hasn't been good for over 20 fucking years and is now owned by Jeff fucking Bezos and spearheaded by Amy "Spider-Man should be an EDM DJ" Pascal. If anything, if I truly love Bond then I would have no part in desecrating him further and opt out of this deal with the devil. Denis clearly doesn't like Bond because his quotes on his Bond fandom might as well be from ChatGPT. Just Connery and Craig wank like the lowest common denominator NPC. I suspect he's getting a huge payday and that's why he did it. Not because he cares about Bond. No sane director would agree to this if not for the money. He shoots it real quick after Dune and then moves on to other projects which he can get funding for because Bond made money (which it always does, no matter how shit the movie is as NTTD proved).

If NTTD can make nearly 800m more than a new Batman movie half a year later despite being awful, pozzed and released when people still had to wear masks then nothing is sinking this ship unless they turn Bond black like Snape.

There's no chance in hell he does something fun and exciting like the Brosnan movies. He will maek another self-serious slopfest like Skyfall.

Because guess what; Dennis Villeneuve is a great director. He doesnt write his stuff, he hardly even produce his stuff - and still his movies have been way above average total through his career. He is the moden Spielberg.

>OI FOOKIN ROICIST as writer
>groomed capeshit Jew as Bond

IT'S. OVER.

I wouldn't say he's the modern Spielberg, but he's a very competent visual filmmaker. I know Bond isn't high brow cinema or anything, but being led by ten leashes to do an action flick must be a pain in the ass.

>do everything in your power to ape Nolan and be thought of at the same category as hm
>even do the mandatory slop trilogy to get ahead in Hollywood
>still cuck out for Bond and do the job of someone like David Leitch when you're supposedly an auteur
Denis just nuked his career. I hope he gets the good sense to drop out soon like Boyle.

He is not aping Nolan? What the fuck. Nolan stays full control by writin, producing and directing his shlock, he only ever made like two movies.
Every Villeneuve film feels completely different.

Really it should have been the other way around
Villeneuve for the grimdark Batman trilogy and Nolan for Bond

I know, it shows in his Batman trilogy. Villeneuve on the other hand would master a Batman efficiently neutralizing enemies. His style also fits Batman much better than Bond, while Nolan's style fits Bond much better than Batman
That being said I think Gore Verbinski should have directed the new Bond and Villeneuve and Nolan have no place in this franchise

The last two Craig movies already killed the franchise.
Anonymous No.213683766

How can people take the character of James Bond seriously after Craig's abominations? You'll have to make a movie as good as GoldenEye to make up for 20 years of that faggot but that's an impossible task.
