Movies and TV shows have canon priority. Whatever is shown on screen is canon. Books and comics are secondary canon, they are factual as long as nothing on screen contradicts them. So something from a book is canon, but if a movie 10 years from now shows a different take on that topic the book is retroactively not canon (at least in the offending part).
