It wasnt a good movie, but it was alot better that it had any business being at a time when movie adaptations of video games was absolute garbage.
I think wat dragged the movie down was over reliance on tie ins with the plot of silent hill and video game characters roaming around in the street. The premise of Silent Hill is strong enough on it's own. It's an abandoned, haunted mining town in eternal mist/smoke and your nightmares become reality when you go there. It would have been better if they wrote a seperate story that didnt have anything to do with the plot of any of the games.
