You can already see some idiot shitting on the sequel but in reality if you like power rangers Uprising is literally a power rangers film in disguise. The entire city fight sequence is teenagers with attude in mechs and pilot suits dividing them in colors, it was literally PR. Yes its worse than the first one. IYKYK only parrots compare it to the first one and hate it for being different or john boyega, or killing the asian chick. These are all fine criticisms but the second half of the movie and all the action scenes are great.

What's unique about this?

All you have to do is adapt the Boom comics for them starting from when they first got their powers. Give it an animation style like Avatar the Last Airbender, give it some good choreographers, and respect the source material (i.e. don't make it edgy, don't do a modern day reinterpretation of it, and don't plaster it with politics)

Bring back the White Power Ranger

Green Ranger > White Ranger

Make it more like Star Trek where they just get into nightmare situations and have to figure out how to solve problems. But add in themes that either cater to teens or slightly older. You can still have leadership, teamwork and justice. Also make one of the characters a not so obvious perv and one of the girls a not-so-obvious gal gooner/fujo.

Alright I'm never gonna make this so here's my pitch.
>SHINING RANGERS
While on a business trip in Tokyo, white boy American John Smith (pick a name) gets caught up in a super hero battle between the Shining Sentai and a particularly ferocious monster of the week. During the battle, Shining Gold (yellow equivalent) is mortally wounded and separated from the group. He passes his powers to John Smith, who becomes the new Shining Gold. The problem is John doesn't speak Japanese, the other members of the Shining Sentai aren't particularly thrilled about a gaijin becoming part of their squad, and John also doesn't live in Japan.
After the battle, John returns to America where he learns that his new powers effectively force him to engage in super heroics (or the spirits that grant them will kill him). The knock off American superheroes find him to be weird since he has to do poses and shout attack names and stuff while stopping bank robbers.
John is also constantly jetlagged because he keeps getting teleported to Japan whenever the Shining Sentai need to do team up attacks.

Returning to it's roots as a children show. It is a show to sell toys for children, even if anyone can enjoy it. Trying to put a mature storyline ruins it because it makes you realize how incredibly dumb the premise really is.
They're teams of 5/6 teenagers that are picked at hand by some alien dude then gang up to punch monsters dressed in colorful costumes that do nothing beyond protecting their heads

There is only one direction. Make it relevant to zoomer trends just like the old ones were relevant to wheat teens were like then and if doesn't work retire it. Don't make it edgy. Don't make boomer rangers. Just make an honest attempt for zoomers and that doesn't work then it is a dead IP. I am a boomer and with Tommy dead and Jason probably not allowed around this IP due to him idolizing Hitler and being in trouble with the federal government I hold no value over this IP anymore. MAYBE if Tommy was still alive you could do one last gasp of the old years and adapt the Lord Drakkon saga but that ship sailed.

I would probably start with one or two rangers and add a new ranger once every couple of episodes and make one of them turn evil every season and bring back one of the evil ones as a new color in a later season and then end the series on a high note.
