Let's me decode theirs worldview for you:
Under liberalism (the economical politics) there is no such things as an inherent dominant culture without it being oppressing. The only two accepted tenet is mass consumerism and micro culture provided by the de facto oppressed minorities, minorities that are only here by legacy institutions as liberalism suppose a natural equality (not just moral mind you but universal, XX == XY) among all peoples. Therefore every attempt to push a legacy "culture" of the supposed "majority" is authoritative and against this fables of everything equals.
It's not even a leftist things if you've studied political science a bit, it's really just liberalism push to its extreme, and then yes modern american who don't know shit misrepresent that as leftist for some reasons (some being valid). But it's just the endgame of the liberal economy to both erase the bastion of a traditional culture (which can limit the market in some regards, especially via religion), and create new markets by embracing every diversity out there.
Divide e impera my friends.
