> Conjuring 4 sticks the landing and has a happy ending.
> We get a period piece spin off about the samurai armor in the Warren's collection, maybe set during the occupation of Japan?
> We get some more horror & slasher films set near the sea/on ships, make use of moody harbors, docks & foggy nights. A undead Sea Captain slasher would be cool.
> We get more mostly serious toned theatrically released killer animal films like The Shallows & Crawl. Ideally ones with oversized Scorpions and Octopuses. Remake of Tentacles (1977)?
> Crawl 2 is on par with the first.
> Antje Traue is cast as The Bride of Frankenstein, if that film in Universal's Dark Universe moves forward.
> If the Dark Universe moves forward, Dracula Untold is reinstated into canon. I want more of Luke Evan's take on the character.
> More Pumpkinhead movies.
> Cabin in the Woods anthology series with each episode (maybe every 2 episodes) being a different cast facing a different monster. Some arcs will focus on the folks in the Cabin & some will focus on the staff in the base dealing with capturing monsters out in the wild or having to deal with them getting loose.
> A B&W tribute movie to 1950s monster movies is that actually is fairly serious & well budgeted. Builds up mystery & suspense for the 1st 3rd.
> Galaxy of Terror prequel about Captain Trantor surviving the massacre of the Hesperus crew by aliens 25 years before.

>>213696395>With NPC SJW's it's always 100% projection as they are always the aggressors in every situation by screaming in peoples faces for attention/money/power by invading, infesting, take away, ruin and/or destroy anything that makes people happy so everyone is as miserable as they are.Exactly.

> The Miramax Halloween series treats Myers faithfully like a unstoppable supernatural phantom & has nudity.> More stand alone Halloween comics like Nightdance. Maybe mini series that each follow up a different continuity in the series...>- Myers & the cult hunting Jamie's baby after 6.>- Adapt the early H7 script about Myers stalking a girls boarding school.>- Myers hunting Laurie's son after H20.>- Adapt the script for Rob Zombie's Halloween 3.>- Adapt the script for Halloween Returns that was planned before the 2018 movie pitch.> The earlier scripts for Halloween 4 are released online, I wanna see how Myers was defeated in the version of the script that had Sheriff Meeker fight Myers to the death in his basement resulting in his house burning down.> The cut footage of the H5 police station massacre & Meeker's death are found & released despite their absence in the recent Blu-Ray that had the Dr Death opening (we know it was filmed because we have a BTS pic of Meeker getting shot)> The full Face of Michael Myers short film is made despite the original kickstarter failing. Prelude Short - https://youtu.be/wCAxcOmVCNs
>>213696640>>213696767(OTHER SLASHERS)
> Scream 7 Onward - Sydney does not become a killer & is not killed off unless it's a respectful successful heroic sacrifice. Maybe have the film take place in snowy weather & invert Ghost Face's colors so he will blend in with the environment.> The Blumhouse My Bloody Valentine reboot is on par with Halloween (18).> It makes better more suspenseful use of the mine than the 09 remake did.> Has nudity like 09.> If they reboot ANOES again and wish to return Freddy to the horror & humor balance they got perfect in 3, consider Tom Hiddleston.> The reboot/sequel to Madman (81) does not have a feminist bent to it despite the original film's producer claiming he plans to give it such (ignoring how great & strong of a final girl Gaylen Ross was in the original)> They don't reboot Texas Chainsaw Massacre again, either drop it long term or do a direct sequel to 2022 (I would pick up where it left off with Leatherface evading swat and bounty hunters.> Some more obscure non franchise slasher films get sequels/reboots with new stories. I would like to see something done with The Slayer or Superstition (both from 1982)> A new serious toned slasher with a Samurai killer.> We get Zodiac (07) / From Hell / The Town that Dreaded Sundown style slasher/murder mystery movies about the real life Axeman of New Orleans & the Hinterkaifeck farm massacre.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Axeman_of_New_Orleans

I know Brotherhood of the Wolf and various witch period pieces like VVitch and Witchfinder General for those time periods.

yeah I saw Jimmy & Stiggs. some of you will hate it because Begos is the lead and is mostly swearing and doing DUDE DRUGS, there's like 0 script, I actually thought it was shot during Covid being an apartment pot-boiler but no, last year. He sold some of his 16mm film collection to fund it so leaning into that diy 'I just want to make a movie man' spirit - kind of like Evil Dead in that way, you're there to watch X file greys get fucked up and it delivers but not quite as inventive nor the characters as charming.
in Bliss I was giddy when he dropped an Isis track during the climax and he opens this movie with another one while protag putters about preparing and getting loaded on various subtances - the movie watches better if you're doing the same, rolling joints, pouring drinks, snarking with buds to smooth over the lulls. Not that it really drags at 90m and no forced drama, just kinda of univariate til the last act.
neat how it's made-behind the scenes after the credits. I enjoyed it for what it is and respect his ethos. would slot in nicely in October when you just want a straightforward bloody-blacklight hack-em-up
>>213696640This is going to sound coomer-y, but I just genuinely want hot girls in horror
Watched this last night and genuinely enjoyed it. Very much like Frostbiter or the first Evil Dead if it took place on a "futuristic ship" that kinda looks like Peewee's Playhouse. Keep in mind, the production is shit, but I'd say it's worth a watch.
>>213703813Agreed, lets not beat around the bush
>>213703813Dario Argento once said people have to die in horror movies, so they might as well be beautiful women

>>213705177After being a huge Simpsons fan and watching it religiously until ~2006, the entire show is very average. Yes, even the so-called best seasons are average. KOTH (original run) will always be vastly superior.
I donโt know if I would call Alien Earth good but it has been fun, having it open with inter corporate 9/11 makes it better than 3 or resurrection

>>213705340Every one was so ugly lol.
>>213705461I think there is a noticeable shift between seasons 7 and 8, and then a very noticeable drop in quality between 8 and 9. 9 and even 10 have good episodes but there are way more mediocre episodes between them. I think season 8 is kind of like the last season of Seinfeld, where things were clearly starting to get a little weird, the difference is Seinfeld ended and Simpsons just kept on going.
Back onto the actual topic, I watched The Wolf Of Snow Hollow. I though it was fun, but the editing was kind of weird and made it a little difficult to follow at times.
I need something good to watch on Shudder this weekend. I missed the last couple of Drive-In episodes, how were they?

I watched Carnival of Souls recently and it's kino. There's this feeling of intense loneliness and anxiety that starts with the first appearance of The Man (played by the director) and never ends. The neighbor absolutely adds to the horror, you can never tell if he's just an awkward horny guy or a straight-up rapist. It probably wouldn't be as effective without the organ music, though. I felt genuinely sick by the end of the movie despite there being no gore of any kind.

>>213717768Ive never seen the one sitting in thr chair and the face with the eyes and tongue looks way better than in the final film
>>213717485I don't condone it but I understand why the black kid in this show was perving on Juliet from Lost

Doug Bradley also does a bunch of amazing monologues on their songs.
>>213719825Based. Horror hit its peak during the 70s-80s so it's only right we discuss it regularly.
>>213719365Depends, Dracula was a high society vampire and these women also lived in castles. whereas the vampires in something like The Lost Boys wearing capes wouldn't have fit.
>>213719893Vampire Sarah Gadon wears a cape

Videodrome is peak 80s /hor/kino for me. What about you guys?
i have NEVER seen an 80s horror film and i never will. i watched short clips of elm street and the blob and they looked fucking terrible tho

I couldnt sleep for a couple days without the lights being on after I watched paranormal activity.

In Taste the Blood of Dracula, a man drinks Draculas blood while wearing his cape and is killed by 3 others during a ritual. Then he reincarnates.

I remember for instance you calling NTF "walled" when The First Omen was released
>>213720979did general has terrible taste
>>213720923It made 7x its budget, so an enormous amount of people enjoyed it. I think its bleak humor flies over the head of some viewers expecting a by the number cursed object horror. Something similar happened to the 1st Megan, whose deadpan humor initially left some viewers confused

>>213721113And Nell only shot one movie (Cliffhanger remake) since. She has to realize actresses have to work nonstop to keep themselves in the public eye and get better and better roles. It's what Margaret Qualley and Mikey Madison did
>>213720534>>213720599Might not even be Hammer. I can picture this scene with a set of clothes inflating like a balloon and a reverse decay sequence but that could be something else entirely I'm remembering.
>>213721221Nell has points in my book for Servant. And Omen was a nice safe movie.

>>213721168>its getting shit on everywhere thoNot at all, it has a very reasonable (for horror) 6.0 on imdb. What happens is that you're cherrypicking.
The movie's not quite divisive, there's simply a shrill fringe of people who were filtered. Its humor is very subtle and its existential/fatalistic subtext requires a lived-in, empathetic approach.
Not saying that it's your case but The Monkey, like Megan, Apostle, several Vincent Prices movies (Theatre of Blood for instance) require a non-autistic, non literal approach. The tongue in cheek aspect is something that sometimes takes a while to realize
>>213721273It is as a counterargument to what the other anon said ("only a small proportion of people actually like it."). A movie getting some polarized reactions says little if anything about its popularity
>>213721338That's indeed a good idea for a horror movie or anthology episode, not least bc these days there are some men who are utterly oblivious to the realities of female physiology (sweaty boobs, menstruation, shaving etc) so it would be harrowing to them even on a matter of factly level.
