Middling division on pet issues and action taking.
The polite quiet people part of the party is mad at them for being too reactive (Gavin Newsom's fire with fire approach to Abbott's redistricting came off as cynical)
There's a part that's upset that it's in places becoming too radical, there's another part that thinks it's not radical enough.
There's Palestine which has the support of Muslims and Young People and Israel which has the support of Jews and Older People and the Democratic Party's complete lack of unity on it.
Generally speaking though, when you look at the flashpoint elections of 2025, the Democrats look far more united than divided.
In New York, despite the firm Israel/Palestine divide, Zohran won the Jewish vote and won the Conservative/Reform vote even harder.
If you look at local races leading up to 2026, the Democrats have good positioning.
Abbott wouldn't be pushing a cynical and partisan redistricting if the Republicans were in good shape.
All politics is local.
