it truly feels like we're going backwards. the actors are uglier now than they were decades ago, the blockbuster scenes feel cheaper, it all feels shitty compared to finding some random movie from decades ago.

I thought it was pretty cool, but the massive amount of girl power at the end was annoying. Having Johnny sacrifice himself would have been KINO but I get that superhero films can’t ever have stuff like that.

I disagree. Movies are a visual medium and capeflicks in particular showcase ideal men and women.
