It really does. I was completely open to liking it; I enjoyed Romulus and heard this was "Andor for Alien", among a bunch of other good reviews, but I feel like I watched a different show because what I saw was amateurish. It's horribly paced and edited, the characters are two dimensional, it glosses over anything that might actually be interesting, and they made the xeno seem about as dangerous as a dog.

Maybe it's just because I recently finished season 2 of Foundation, which was phenomenal, but I was completely let down by this.

I don't give a fuck about the Alien franchise, but it was nice to see Hawley bring back the best Fargo actors for cameos. Even my nigga Meemo was in it.

Finally getting around to it
So far its a little off putting how hard it tried to look authentic like, you can kind of copy the 1970s original version but also add a few flourishes here or there but nope its just dingy and sad.
I think if they wanted to do this Corporation vs Corp thing they should have named Wayland Yutani to Wayland Silva so it denotes them being North and South American.
Its getting really tedious how everything has to be so tense and creepy you can't be a clenched fist for 15 minutes straight its exhausting. Oh they might die, they might squish a scorpion, bald kids and tense music, she might get raped its too frakkin much.

That's all I got so far. At least they did as good a job remaking Alien as Andor did with A New Hope.

This spaceship crash was pretty awesome, I just also have this opinion on Star Trek, why the fuck how the fuck etc do they not have planetary protections for crashing spaceships? Once they get big enough they would essentially become meteors and could kill massive amounts of people.
