If outdoors, with current day tech, don't even need to risk any ground troops, just use attack helicopters, those have large caliber machine guns on them, that should be plenty, and have tracking, and have missiles that can hit far away targets, so they could engage multiple targets at once, from a safe position, without xenos being able to fight back. Just bring enough helos, and rotate them as needed. Also artillery barage, drones, heavy bombing for areas, near infinite variation. Pretty sure even larger cheapo flying suicide drones would do the trick, and those can be fielded by the thousands at once. The xenomorphs would not stand a chance against a current day army, aside of the initial shock, causing large damage. Tracking down a fleeing xeno would be harder than fighting it, since in tunnels, mines, natural caves it could hide for a long time.
