You mean for the last 10 years

I feel like movies are impossible to market nowadays, so you just have to create slop. Like, I don't think a lot of classic films could get made in this market

we are in the slop-era of humanity

All talented writers are gen x and older, and they are being replaced by millenials and zoomers who are brainrotted malformed retards.

28 Years Later was good no matter what /tv/cattle says. Haven't seen Eddington.

We are all orphans of the many smart european kids that didnt get to be born because their parents drank the antinatalist koolaid, eveything is worse because of that. Less talent was born and the public also got browner and darker.

Still the aftereffects of woke mediocrity

Aster said he was scrolling Twitter. He didn't interact with ppl of different views over time. He just projects onto them, then made a movie like he's a smart social critic. Even Kubrick aimed his criticism at the most powerful, not just who Aster thinks should stop squabbling or mouthing off.

>He didn't interact with ppl of different views over time
no, he traveled around new mexico and literally interacted with people of all different views + created different twitter accounts so he could get left and right content

20. There have been perhaps 5 decent movies since 2005.

Weapons was unironically good
It’s rare to see such a poignant metaphor for how substance abuse ruins the lives of loved ones

There have been some entertaining movies and some genuinely good ones but they are few and far between
Joker, BR2049, OUATIH, the lighthouse, wolf of Wall Street, the Northman, the vvitch, hereditary, aftersun, leave no trace, let me in (came out in 2010), Apocalypto (2006), Death of Stalin, The Menu (it was different and I liked it even if the plot was dumb), Top Gun Maverick (great popcorn movie. Not every good movie has to be Fellini), The Cursed, Under the Silver Lake, John Wick (the first one), Eastern Promises (2007), Drive, The Prestige, In Bruges, Mars Express, Big Bad Wolves, Your Name, Ghost Stories, Edge of Tomorrow, Coraline (2009), Paprika (2006), Mad Max: Fury Road (furiosa was boring to me though), Inception, The Dark Knight
When people fold their arms and jut out their jaw and say “every movie from the last half century has been shit”, it feels like they’re trying too hard
>there have been no good movies this year
>oh yeah!? Well I haven’t liked any movies this decade
>piffle. You two aren’t out of kindergarten yet. I haven’t enjoyed a movie this Millenium
>*electric thrumming sounds* SILENCE. I AM THE ALPHA AND OMEGA ANON. I HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED PLEASURE AT ANY MEDIA EVER.

The antinatalist movement(
Movies have been bad for a while. A couple capeshit movies and a summer horror slop for tweens is all people look forward to now.

OP, list some movies that you consider good. Posts like these should be accompanied by the poster’s top 10

Europe is still (!) 90% white, with some areas being darker than others
They could still, even today, correct course
But they don’t. And this isn’t the brown people doing this because Europe is majority white.
They could elect AfD and FN if they wanted to but they don’t
Hungary has Orban and the country is fine. They need to work harder on their declining birth rates (fucks sake women get to live tax free for life if they have 4+ kids. What are they waiting for?)
At some point you need to recognize that European stock, great as it is, has been on the decline. Why aren’t they breeding more? Why aren’t they kicking out their leaders? Why aren’t they stopping the boats?
Americans were told that Trump is literally Hitler and they elected him twice
Not going to bother debate doomers and arabs on how much better things are than they would have been under Kamala but at least the electoral willingness is there to push back on infinity niggers and squatemalans

Fine, OP here
Avengers Endgame
K-pop Demon Slayer
Little Women
La La Land
Superman 2025
Guardians of the Galaxy
Civil War
Dear White People
Moonlight
Call me by your name
Now what?

28 Years is still my movie of the year
>>213734604
Well I know you’re not OP because he said movies this year were bad and you listed Superman.

AfD is the majority party now, me thinks. We're so back!
>>213734677
Same, I've already embraced Jimmy-posting.
They aren't. Oscar season hasn't started yet. I think Cannes was rather weak for American movies this year.
