Prater admitted that he encouraged and tolerated Gemini's narcissism. I feel that is because Gemini kills two at a time, so his body count is likely higher than Al or Lowell's or Mia's.
I still feel that Prater and Charley know exactly who Dexter is.
Some weeks ago, I floated a theory that it was possible that Kurt Caldwell from New Blood was a part of Prater's little group. Kurt has a similar setup where he hid his trophies like Prater does.
Prater loves his little trophies. I think Kurt may have had a live video feed from his trophy kill room connected to Prater's tower, as a 'gift' and Prater got to watch some of Kurt's work there and saw Dexter in it, and recognized him.
Dexter would have been talking to Harry and mentioned the Dark Passenger out loud while down there, and Prater later used his contacts to get the media in NYC to start calling the UrCar killer the Dark Passenger, hoping to get Dexter's attention and lure him to NY.
I mean, Prater has highly placed sources for his info, I'm surprised that he and Charley haven't heard about the guy cut up in nine pieces yet. Prater would recognize the BHB style instantly.
