Climax seems to a love-it-or-hate-it type of horror movie. One half of Daft Punk did the soundtrack, there's a sequence with Windowlicker blasting in the background, and there's also a 40 minute long take in the second half showing everyone going batshit in a dark abandoned dance school after having their drinks laced with acid. Goes without saying Noe is a very visceral director. Personally I'd give both films the same rating (7/10).

I added this to my watchlist after seeing Hagazussa since they look similar enough. I'm surprised Hag never gets brought up here given it's a great little slow burn about a medieval witch's descent into madness.
