/lit/fags here. I hate how his shelf is deliberately organized just to be performative in his videos. A real reader would have his books scattered around his house like some frugal beatnik. But in his videos they are presented in a way that If the viewer watches his videos and sees Mason and Dixon conveniently in a corner of the shelf where he films his skits, the viewer will be like "Wozers this guy is a reader! He must be smart or something!"

This makes no sense, you'd have only what you're currently reading lyring around (~4 books tops), the rest of your collection should be sitting on a shelf. And since he periodically makes videos about literature it's a completely valid stylistic choice to film with his shelf behind him, that's like getting mad at a teacher for filming with a blackboard behind him
