The Shield died after the season 2 finale. Where they were standing over a big pile of money and "I will Overcome" by Live was playing. I watched all of it and it turned into a soap where friends became enemies became friends became ennemies. And then Kurt Sutter did the exact same thing with "Sons of Anarchy". It's like he took classes on scriptwriting 101 and just applied it to everything. This is why HBO will always mog FOX.

Better than any other show I've seen. The beauty of a mostly episodic format is that it makes rewatching a treat as you aren't bogged down by plotlines (mostly) and can enjoy it one piece at a time. I especially liked the episode about the guy who killed his own daughter who he didn't know was his just to steal a stash of meth off his ex-girlfriend.

Why didnt Shane tell his wife to pin the realtor murder on him and blame him for everything he did skylar white style? She wouldnt have gotten too much time she knew a bunch of dirt to give up. Shane had enough meth in his system to have thought of it but I guess he wanted the adolf ending.

This, episodic centered storytelling with a long overarching plot is the correct way to do a series.
There's always some plotline you've forgotten, and you get to appreciate different characters the more you rewatch.

I've seen it three or four times. Gonna have to wait at least another year until I can enjoy it again, sadly.

He didn't want her to go to jail at all for any amount of time. Plus, his son would still go into foster care and be fucked up for life. There were some cool parts in it.
-CCCH Pounder (yes that is the name of the actress) was hellbent on catching Vic and there was an episode where here house looked like a pigsty and her colleagues knew about it. She was going through a depression.
- The guy who was a detective and sang along with "hungry by the wolf" and they gave him shit for it at the station. And then he killed a cat, to know what it felt like
- The gay black cop who was very violent and religious and struggled to reconcile the two
- Aceveda sucking a cock and then visiting a prostitute who he treated very violently and she understood he had to get it out of his system.

Those were the good parts. The parts were enemies become friends become enemies become friends, ad nauseam. Yeah, that's when you tune out.

I tried to no avail but I also think there's a more insidious reason for why FX is purging all Shield videos from Youtube and memoryholing the show. BLM and current clown world nonsense. A show about four white cops living it up while beating on blacks and spics is radioactive in today's climate. The FX president threw the show under the bus.
