She claims that she doesn't exist to the government, but this is something stated to be unique/specific to supers, so did she have powers that are just never shown?

She was fucking him and as she said she was attracted to power but she realised power with no regard for human life is not something worth admiring, especially when it leads to a person you thought was your partner seeing you as so disposable they're willing to gamble with your life.
>Brad Bird puts off doing a sequel for Incredibles for ages >Says he'll only do it if "The story is really good" >Decades go by >Finally gets announced it's in development >People wonder all the ways the movie will subvert the genre like they did with the first and how it'll move the world forward after the first movie and/or comment on the rise of the modern capeshit blockbuster >It's just the first movie but with Helen as the lead and the movies version of Mirage as a villain >The new characters completely clash with the series retro aesthetic and look like they belong in a mobile game

I like to cope and pretend this movie doesn't exist
for how much a masterpiece the first movie was this sequel really is a fucking shoe stain even though it was mediocre

They were probably actually a couple, until she saw him torturing Bob and taunting him with the death of his family. I remember that scene vividly from when I was a kid, she looks genuinely shocked and horrified when Syndrome doesn't call off the missiles even after Helen says there are children on the plane.

Fuck, thank you. I hated those fucking nusupers. The designs were absolutely dogshit, nothing like the classic superheroes they're supposedly emulating. If anything they should be dressed more like Buddy from the first film, with cheap, thrown together costumes. Who's designing them?

Damn, this image just highlights how well the first movie's artstyle was especially with its execution of making an art deco cartoon style in 3D

So did Batman, The Joker, Superman every comic book character. Doesn't matter they bring em back in the next reboot or sequel.
Greg does not like, as Greg feels there is no stakes if a character loses.

Death is presented with so much gravity in these movies, to bring the dead back to life even though it's so common in superhero stuff would be awful

He had to do something to make it up to Disney after Tomorrowland was a $200+ million bomb. You just know Incredibles was his peace offering.

I didn't like it but I also don't know what caused audiences to avoid it so intensely. I can't even remember the marketing or what word of mouth was like at the time but I doubt either helped.
