Never before in history has one man had the power to command such star studded casts and he has them do bit roles waiting for the narration to finish so they can read off a quirky line and leave.

It's a masterpiece for the few. Similarly to French Dispatch, its cultural and emotional references require an educated/perceptive approach

it's fucking gay and sucks, most of french dispatch did too. he blew his wad on grand budapest and will never make something good outside of animation again
I really enjoyed asteroid city but hated life aquatic. Anderson is just one of “those” artists who are operating on their own terms and it either works for you or doesn’t; I don’t know why he causes as much seething as he does - his movies are just quirky

Wes Anderson is the definitional midwit filmmaker. all style, only hinting at substance so that the room temp IQ fans can pat themselves on the back for sitting through a 3 hour instagram story that doesn't say anything meaningful. it's no wonder why he's normie women's favourite director. >>213751356 >>213752782
is either a faggot or a woman. no real thinking man can stand wes anderson films
Whether or not someone will enjoy a particular Anderson kino is unknowable. You have to watch it to find out, and what you thought of his previous movies is irrelevant. This is my conclusion. I liked asteroid city and meme hotel.

complete waste of casting, they were probably expecting to star in something as good as Tenebaums but instead got an absolute dumpster-fire of a script.
You can tell all the actors just wanted to hang out because none of them actually put in effort, except for maybe Matt Dillon who is great in everything.
