They probably wanted somebody more intense and out there to make the already weird main characters able to work as the straight men for punchlines.
That and I think they were friends with him already.

Season 3 kind of sucks. Crack Fox is the most over rated episode by far, even more than Old Greg. Just sayin.

Completely agree. Whole show was great but seemed like a classic case of do more with less. They got more money and more meta as time went on.

Nightmare of Milky Joe is the peak of Boosh.
An almost perfect episode.
