I remember a black lady screaming DON'T GO IN DERE when I watched Terminator 2 in the early '90s. If anything it's much better now because ticket prices are so high it excludes shelf-stockers and other low paying jobs that movie talkers can hold down

just like in real life you have to pay more money to avoid the problem. just buy the more expensive imax or 3D ticket and you will enjoy your movie, standard 2D is for the groundlings.

whats the point on cinemas when the movies is out for sale within two months? just invest in a home setup and be done with it.

There's something really comfy about camrips. I enjoy most kinos I would go and see at the cinema in the comfort of my own home. The camrip gives me a good idea of the movie but also serves as an appetizer for when the movie is dumped onto a streaming service and then I can illegally stream or pirate it in HD. Camrips have an almost VHS / celluloid quality in how they muddy the frame. You also get the occasional fun audience reaction if its not a straight up screener. And you also get a fun game of looking away from the site which has stuck their logo over every second of the film. Even the slightly muffled audio has a comfy quality to it.

10/10 would recommend camrips. Or you could go to the cinema (leaving the house fucking sucks), pay for overpriced food that's pure slop, sit and roll the dice to see if your showing of the film is going to get ruined by the highly melinated, etc.

Been going to the cinema in the UK for 40 plus years and never heard anyone talk during the movie, not once. We just don't do it, it's not part of our culture

I thought people went to the movies for the theater experience? Isn't that why Minecraft Chicken Jockey thing got popular? You wanted to see if the next screening can one up the last.

I had stupid idiots next to me in a dine-in theater Friday night. They were so obnoxious, couldn't put phones down, kept talking and "reacting" about what the main character should do. It's pretty annoying. I'll wait until something comes out and pirate it than have to hear that shit.

Can confirm. I mainly attend 3D, Imax and arthouse screenings. Have very little experience of other audience members ruining the show.

Plus 3D can be really awesome when they do a good job, and it's something you can't really get at home anymore, so that's the way to go for me. Very easy decision.
