Inglorious Basterds was the first Tarantino film where the plot was an unsatisfying mess. Some amazing scenes, but it was not narratively strong. I think OUATIH also suffers from this.

Funny that his previous films like Jackie Brown, Pulp Fiction, and Kill Bill feel like theyโ€™re from a more mature and talented filmmaker.

Dalton's arc is fantastic and QT's best character development arc. But yeah outside of it it's a mess, Cliff Booth was interesting enough but Dalton was the real core of the movie which made it spectacular.

I think he's right but I can't stand how obviously anti-white it is under the guise of anti-Nazi. The Jew character in OUATIH is basically the animating spirit of the whole movie and obviously Shoshana's monologue at the end.

>pleb be a great filmmaker
He's a gifted dialogue writer and has a great feel for drama but comes off as extremely awkward and mindless. The Hateful Eight is a masterful first half and the second half is drooling retard garbage. It's a shame. It'll go down as his biggest miss.

It's his worst movie. It's a self-indulgent mess with too many moving parts. The casting of Shosanna and Zoller is terrible, every time they're onscreen I lose interest completely. Also I really wish he'd kept the nature of the Basterds' scar as a mystery until the final punchline.

Still plenty of good scenes, and overall an enjoyable movie, but it's the only time he ever disappointed me.

I don't know how you can hold this opinion when the bear jew scene portrays the blonde haired, blue eyed nazi officer as heroically brave, intelligent, sympathetic, caring (for his men). Essentially only good qualities. And there's nothing in that scene which deals with him "renouncing" Naziisms so he can be portrayed as good.
