I want to watch more Korean movies like Parasite, but I don't know where to start. the K-drama thread sent me here since their thread is more about TV series. Anyone have any recommendations?
It doesn't have to be exactly like it, but I really liked the tone shift that it took. Kinda lighthearted and funny at the beginning, gives you some times to put together what's happening, and then changes to almost horror as you realize things are about to turn violent.

>thoughts on Pasolini
Great, eclectic career, interesting to see how he moves from neorealism into his more surreal later half of career. Really like how he replicated the "feel" of illuminated manuscripts often in his latter films, in particular Canterbury Tales.
Best film, difficult to say. I have three favourites, The Gospel According to St. Matthew, Teorema and already aforementioned Canterbury Tales.

Does he have interesting new takes on the classics, other than the mad bad immensity of larger than life women (Madea), or how dads wanna get fked too? Feels like the most unique dynamics he could show from his life experience, is Mamma Roma. Bringing neorealist texture to bible reinterpretations was a successful formal challenge, didn't say anything new.
