I really wanted to like this show, seemed like it had everything going for it but my hype died almost immediately several episodes into S1, didn't get to S2 or S3, apparently it becomes gay erotica for a female audience or something.

Biggest gripe is that it was just boring, it felt like a padded out cheap cop drama rather than a thriller. Mads' great performance is dampened by an ensemble cast of charisma vacuums like Laurence Fishburne.

I actually rewatched it recently and you can tell season 3 was rushed but its still kino

They made Batman & Catwoman's relationship look balanced and healthy.

It's funny how the British guy can do an American accent better than the Dutch guy.

The whole series felt like I was watching somebody's fanfiction where they grab a bunch of ideas and execute it like some teenage girl that hasn't written anything in her life.
There's a 60 minute episode where they just sit around in a cathedral's catacomb doing nothing I shit you not. They repeat the same phrases 6 times in a row with minor variation without saying anything new.

I ended up telling myself I should have watched this first before watching the real movies so I don't get so bored and pissed off over the series. I finished it in 3 days straight marathoning it cause otherwise I wouldn't have went back to it.
It felt like reading a 15 year old girl's fanfiction complete with the vocabulary of a pseudo-intellectual teen girl who thinks she's hot shit.

I think the last 2 Hannibal movies might be better written than this series.

You could fit Clarice in this world for a 4th season but artistically I don't think there's anything else unique for the show to say.
