I watched it last night with low expectations. And I .... really didn't care for it.

The good:
>Fillion's Guy Gardner is straight out of late 80s/early 90s comics (JLI vibes in particular)
>Nicholas Hoult as Luthor was a standout performance here
>Superman just being a bit of an "aw shucks" type was nice
>Portrayed Jimmy as a total Chad

The bad:

>Political commentary was too on the nose, no matter what Gunn says
>Score is way too schmaltzy and tries too hard
>Krypto as a little yippy dog is a bit too shameless of a cute mascot character
>Leans a little too hard into some goofy shit (Luthor's interdimensional prison)
>Luthor shooting that pajeet in the head seems very out of place as far as the level of violence goes, especially when they cut away from Hawkgirl offing the leader of not-Israel

I'm mixed on Mr. Terrific's portrayal. Him being too eager to kill the giant monster is odd. He's one of my top five characters, and has been since that late 90s JSA revival. Still better than making him a prissy gay guy like Arrow did.

The movie feels like a miniseries that was crudely edited into a movie. 5/10. Not the worst superhero movie ever, but not what I'd have went with to kick off a new cinematic universe.
