Terence Stamp edition

>Question of the Day
Favorite Terence Stamp film/role?
>Fact of the Day
Peter O'Toole was originally cast as Toby Dammit [in Fellini's segment of the horror anthology film Spirits of the Dead]. After he pulled out, Federico Fellini contacted a London casting agency and asked them to send the most decadent actors they had to Rome to see him. They sent Terence Stamp and James Fox, Fellini chose Stamp.

For us it was his planned role in the Attaturk biopic, starring Canadian actress Sarah Gadon.

Sadly cinematographer Vilmos Zsigmond passed away before the movie entered production, and the film soon fell apart as his involvement was centeral central to the movies production.

>In summer, Nagisa and Natsuo meet by the sea. Their vacant gazes reflect each other as they exchange awkward words and wade into the rain-drenched ocean. In winter, Li, a screenwriter, travels to a snow-covered village. There, she finds a guesthouse run by Benzo.

Yeah CR is the best thing that middling franchise ever produced. Connery's run was just a sad attempt to rip off North by Northwest. Moore's tried to cash in on whatever FOTM trend was hot that year. Dalton's duology was great. Lazenby was an insufferably smug cunt. Brosnan couldn't act to save his life. Craig started strong, sadly Sam Mendes ruined his run by completely ignoring the arc of CR and QoS and making derivative trash. Mendes killed Bond, not Craig.

Post-1990s Japan has a fixation on stories/films about young people due to the aging of their society. They romanticize youth in fiction because youth itself is a romantic fantasy for the vast majority of Japanese people and not something they have any real experience with.
Regardless, that movie was surprisingly quite good; good enough for that other movie to very blatantly take aesthetic and story cues from it lol.
