There's some very different shit going on in context, but let's start with the obvious: The Confederacy started the war by opening fire on an unarmed Federal ship carrying Federal supplies to Federal troops in a Federal fort on land that had been owned by the Federal government for 50 years, whereas Palestine and Ukraine were both invaded by foreigners.
