Pastiches are common between comic book media because, while yes, it can be considered plagiarism by taking some important elements, fact it's that their stories, overall character arcs and situations it's the thing that really separates them.
Sentry can exist as a Superman stand in, but they aren't remotely similar in terms of character.

The worst part of the movie were unironically the flying shots close-ups in the first 15 minutes. You know those ones that were mocked online when they were released. There were even more in the movie and Jesus christ they're bad. I know /tv/ doesn't like the closeups but you can do ones that work. Apparently Gunn cant. I suspect Corenswet's face maybe has something to do with it, but it doesn't even look like him in the shots. I do think he might have one of those faces where he can look goofy depending on the angle and lens... so just dont do short focal lengths then... it's Superman

Ironically, it's not the jew actor's fault. The cinematography is atrocious. Everything looks like an embarrassing cartoon. The choice of lenses, colors, tone, everything sucks. You are supposed to take advantage of the medium of cinema and this movie looks worse than a CW filler episode. Gunn is a terrible storyteller and has horrible taste so the guy he picks to be his DP is as much of a clown hack as he is.

I just watched Superman and gotta say I didn't expect to like this negro so much. He was my favorite character in the movie. My previous experience with Mr. Terrific was that godawful rendition of the character in the Arrow series from CW. He was so fat, lame and on top of it a fucking faggot but in the Superman movie this dude was by far the coolest character there. I'm impressed.
