the podcast market is oversaturated. you're right, they will do it though. they'll eventually quit though when they realize they can only make 5k per month with no writers.

this is all AI and the channel has many similar videos. it's not perfect, but it gives you a glimpse into the state of AI production today. there's going to be a lag time with studios going AI so we'll probably start seeing AI movies in 10 years. fucking hell the studios might even get crushed by a few 16yo autists cranking out bs movies.

Didn't it disappear ten years ago? Who even watches it? TV as a whole is barely more relevant than newspapers.
Incidentally, I've been watching clips from conan's late night and it's even more kino than I remembered. Pre tonight show conan was untouchable.

It's an entirely outdated concept. Not just because people don't watch TV anymore, but because the pool of "celebrities" like we had 20-30 years ago barely exists. Talk shows are TV shows that exist to promote other TV shows and movies, and no one cares about those things or the people in them.

Guests are typically paid sag minimum to be on talk shows like this

>>213795697
It’s an unfair comparison because typically the good talk shows were also a variety show with guests and music, and yeah a produced show is always going to be more expensive that a few guys in a room. The problem is is that the podcasts are attracting younger viewers and these talk shows are clinging to boomers.

>the pool of "celebrities" like we had 20-30 years ago barely exists

This is why SNL is on its last legs. I remember 10 years when they had their 40th year anniversary, and it was this MASSIVE event, almost felt like the Oscars. Last season’s 50th anniversary “celebration” had no steam in it. Sabrina Carpenter! The costar from Girl Meets World! No “GIRL” Meets World! It was on Disney Channel. SNL 50!!

One good thing about last season was when they made fun of the “popup Halloween costume stores” and Spirit Halloween literally came out with pic related.

Back then talk shows took pains to be apolitical. It was meant to be inoffensive and comfy so people would watch celebrities go on to promote new product. Today promotion is done on line on podcasts and social media. Most zoomers dont even know what tv networks are or how to watch them. The broadcasters foolishly require cable account log-ins to watch them on streaming.

The internet has completely defeated TV as a source of entertainment, especially when it comes to talk shows.

Anyone can be a podcaster, and people can watch any podcast they like.
People didn't stop watching TV out of spite or anything like that, it's very simply that the guys making videos on the internet were just more interesting.

These TV guys can go make an internet podcast too, but whether they can compete in the open market is another question. I'm betting they're not actually all that interesting when you take away their monopoly on the audience
