I always just get mad at the very premise of it every time, and that's that the big bad corporation wants the scary powerful "weapon" so bad they will sacrifice anything and anyone assuming that THIS time they can contain the "cargo" or the "package" or the "specimen".
At least with the newer Ridley Scott movies you had David kind of going hog wild with his own evolutionary and genetics experiments. The idea that over and over they just want to vaguely "trap" the xenomorph to contain and study and weaponize it seems foolhardy considering how many times it's absolutely wasted everyone it comes in contact with but Ripley.

I know that just because WE all know that that they think they can just keep changing the timeline so every new crew is totally ignorant to it and yet, what, Weyland-Yutani already knows, or they just automatically program all of their ships and cyborgs to value some fucking acid spitting kill machine over their employees and the ship and possibly everything aboard it?

also the RPG assumes a default setting of 2183, a few years after Aliens and Alien3. and "Heliades-class" should be the same type as the Prometheus, with or without 90 years of improvements in technology to make it go faster.
based on the RPG, the same class of ship as the Nostromo's got an FTL rating of 12, Sulaco's got one of 2. Earth to Zeta 2 Reticuli is about 12 parsecs, so 144 days and 24 days minimum.
And I guess they gave the Prometheus an FTL rating of 52, for a 1.7 year travel time.

I don't like when the androids suddenly get scared. The black one in the last movie was all stuttering little brother until he got that chip upgrade and went into full badass mode. So I don't really buy it when this new guy loses his cool for even a second. He either dominates the alien with his witty calculations or it destroys him, but he doesn't need to sweat and think about it too long while looking away.

I don't really care that much about the ribcage because we don't see it that much anyway. The shorter breathing tubes on the back are also a welcome change, because they always looked silly flapping around in scenes shot with costumes, not cgi. Same with the vanta black glossy look, there's something immediately unsettling about it. I know people prefer the more transparent head dome showing off the skull, but imho it should only be visible when you shine a light directly at it. Either way, the best xeno design is still the one from Alien3.

Unfortunately some silicon life bastards, most likely the same hackers which went from human to silicon life... have bioengineered a Corona-tier plague to spread to humans which made The Safeguard detect all humans including those with the net terminal gene as viruses and unwelcome to the structure so they kill almost all humans. Very few remain in the megastructure.

Without the humans to control the builders the giant builder robots just keep on building ad infinitum and even creating these giant tendrils that reach satellites like the moon and other planets including Jupiter in order to keep building out into space. And so the robots keep buildin Dyson spheres on top of dyson spheres far escaping the planet.

The silicon life have the ability to coccoon humans and mutate them turning them into mutants that are still human but gain silicon life characteristics.
The silicon life and safeguards are based on levels with the highest one already looking like demonic angels.
