What's depressing about gorillaz today is the complete lack of identity.
I'm not saying they should've been frozen in their 00's edgyness but they should've done something. All the art and videos around cracker island felt so bland, so boring. Where's the in character interviews? Where's the flash games? They try stuff but they don't commit to the bit like 2-D's shitty tiktoks. It feels half-assed cause it probably all is someone's nepo baby nephew who doesn't give a shit running it all.
