Donny is by far the most intelligent and even his battle strategies are better than Leo’s
He’s only kept in check because he’s timid and/or kind

They supposed to be mutants but in all the cartoons the designs are obviously meant to look appealing / cool, not like hideous body horror mutant shit. Even the Seth Rogen cringefest understood that where most mutants are hideous looking but turtles themselves are still more or less visually appealing so kids can relate.

I really liked it. I didn't mind the design really, and I thought Ralph looked great. Biggest mistake was to fuck with Splinter's backstory, and I don't know why? The original is great - the thing that Splinter yearns for the most is the same thing that would kill his sons, I think that is solid theme.
