This reboot is weird because on the one hand it seems they're really trying to be faithful to the books, moreso than the movies in some ways. Harry wearing 90s clothes that are too big for him because they're hand-me-downs from Dudley, and these kids look their parts. On the other hand they're trying to score diversity points with retarded castings like Snape that will please nobody for reasons already discussed to death

Thing is it was never realistic for some ginger shrimp that nobody paid attention to in the first four books to become a gigastacy desired by everyone almost overnight, much less the main character's love interest when he was hanging out with her brother the entire time. wtf was Rowling thinking
