Not a moral one, but they're extremely efficient compared to what existed before. Which matters in a world of increasing need of food.

I understand CAFOs and why they exist and that I benefit from it. But I am shocked at how little people will sway the idea away.

>Deuteronomy 25:4
>>"Thou shalt not muzzle the ox when he treadeth out the grain."
The reason a farmer would muzzle his beast of burden like this is to prevent it from eating potential crop-yields. But God commanded Israelites to not deprive the animals from their share of God's harvest. If God sees simply muzzling a cow as repugnant, then surely CAFOs and other such treatment would be a violation of treatment towards God's creatures.
>Deut. 22:6-7
>>If you come across a birdβs nest beside the road, either in a tree or on the ground, and the mother is sitting on the young or on the eggs, do not take the mother with the young. You may take the young, but be sure to let the mother go, so that it may go well with you and you may have a long life.
Simple sustainability principle, same reason you don't shoot a pregnant deer.
