Renoir fights, Paintress fight, Axons are all mandatory to progress the story. Ironically the coolest and probably easiest fight to adapt (dualliste) is skippable.
There is also the fact that the characters turn into mutes/retards at the end of act 1. All the weird shit that happens to Maelle, monologues between Verso/Renoir. Everyone just stays silent and they don't ask nearly enough questions. Won't work, even if you push them out of the screen with clever camera work like in the game.
