Im not surprised. My mom still watches this show and she'd always want me to watch it with her and im like what the fuck happened to him? Its like his balls dropped off and everything is just shitty commentary about Trump.

Trumps an omega clown for sure, but that can't be the entire bit and it has to at least be funny otherwise move on to something else.

It would be a better show too.

It's political theater meant to provoke, antagonize, and divide the masses. Trump and Colbert are both puppets of the same global elite

I looked up what he said and it's actually even dumber than anyone guessed wtf

>I just want to say that the idea that Stephen Colbert‘s show was losing $40 million a year is beyond nonsensical. These alleged insiders who supposedly analyze the budgets of the shows — I don’t know who they are, but I do know they don’t know what they’re talking about. The financial loss reports seemed to only be focused on advertising revenue and have completely forgotten about affiliate fees, which number in the hundreds of millions — probably in total billions — and you must allocate a certain percentage of those fees to late-night shows.
>It really is surprising how little the media seems to know about how the media works. There’s just not a snowball’s chance in hell that that’s anywhere near accurate. Even that — that’s all you need to know. Suddenly he’s losing $40 million a year? I will tell you, the first 10 years I did the show, they claimed we weren’t making any money — and we had five times as many viewers on ABC as we do now. Who knows what’s true? All I know is they keep paying us — and that’s kind of all you need to know.

So it's not true because he doesn't know and he also doesn't know how the finances work on his own show but his own ratings are down 80% and everything's fine, probably

Yeah this is massive cope on his behalf. Sure affiliate fees are a lot of money, but what hes neglecting to mention is that when no one cares whats on your channel, affiliate fees plummet or your channel gets dropped entirely.

What a fucking moron.

Paramount paying $1.5 billion for South Park was also inexplicable, and the very specific reason I'm saying that is because South Park was worth $80 million 25 years ago, when it was much, much bigger than it is now

They desperately needed a way for the left to appeal to younger non-leftists. Stone and Parker knew this and they also didn’t give a fuck about making more South Park so they set the price high as fuck so either they don’t have to do South Park anymore or they go from simply being rich to generational wealth. No lose situation.

Fucking lol. He just admitted he doesn't even know how tv show finances work, either. If his ratings are 5 times lower now, seems like it's far past time to drop the axe. LOUDER JIMMY

now adjust for per year. $1.5B over 5 years is $300 million per year. So about double after inflation. Then also consider population growth, more global audience, and the fact that streaming platforms are so competitive and modern tv/movies are such shit that companies have to rely on nostalgia. Why do you think they're doing remakes of movies that are only 15 years old? Why did they make a sequel to Happy Gilmore and bring back King of the Hill? Modern media has nothing.

I am not a Trump fan but I don't have the frothing hatred of every single thing he does or says. I've seen compilations of these shows since 2016 and it's just non stop Trump hatred. I'm all about bashing the president, which of course they didn't do for Biden, but it's nearly every fucking line in the monologues and skits. I can't imagine watching this trash night after night.
