a lot of them are still in college so the routine of doing what is effectively a class presentation or a semester essay is still in their rotuine. The reward for hitting big is also very real. You can make tens of thousands of dollars for what is basically a low effort 4chan shitpost about your favorite TV show. Even if people disagree with you they'll argue in the comment section and its considered engagement which boosts the video in the algorithm.

I'm jealous and wish I could draw and animate so I lash out at bean mouth.
