Stalker(Cтaлкep) 1979
I loved everything about this. (Except the ending scene with the daughter. That was okay.)
What are some other films that will give me the same feeling? I liked Solaris and The Sacrifice but not as much.

I've been recommended Solaris 2002, Annihilation, and Arrival but these don't feel the same at all to me and are much worse. Letterboxd recommends Contact and I am considering it but I can't into Zemeckis films. I've asked chatGPT and the only one that seems interesting is Hard to Be a God. Is it worth watching?

Please give recommendations.

Try reading the Roadside Picnic book, it' has barely anything to do with the movie, but it's very good.

I have read it and enjoyed it. Honestly I enjoyed the Annihilation book more though(And the entire trilogy). Such a shame the Annihilation movie completely failed to embody the spirit of of this book and Stalker.

Try other Tarkovsky films, especially 'Nostalghia'
And then there were other filmmakers that had some of the same preoccupations and themes in their work. Check out 'Diary of a Country Priest' and 'Ordet'

this movie is garbage for retards but because it's so vapid mongoloids mistake its absence of anything as an indicator of deep meaning and quality
