Nobunaga was killed by subordinates (there's a conspiracy theory that Hideyoshi and Ieyasu were involved but very little evidence). Hideyoshi ruled until he died of old age. Ieyasu killed Hideyoshi's heirs (one of which was an 8 year old boy) and supporters in a very brief war. Ieyasu's dynasty ruled for over 250 years.
