the Showa era godzilla movies are great and its a good time to go through all of them if you never seen them before. The original, mothra vs godzilla, ghidorah the three-headed monster, invasion of astro monster, godzilla vs hedorah, terror of mechagodzilla are all great

I don't want to spend a billion dollars on blurays
I just wanted to get the shin steelbook but then I thought about packing in the original and minus one since they're apparently good releases and those 3 movies are all kind of part of the core essence of godzilla just framed in different time periods
I'm just trying to decide if it's worth shelling out for
also redline is the best movie ever made and I don't know how hard it will be to get that bluray later so I'm tempted
I don't know if there's a better version of it or if that bluray is even any good

is the steelbook for shin worth it

I watched the Shin Gojira for the first time in a theater doing the 4K viewing. Pretty good and interesting to see a modern times handling of the thing compared to the WWII Minus One.

Though what are they planning to do with that thing frozen in the middle of their city? Keep it fed coagulants forever and build around it?

I wish Matt Frank would do a B&W alternate timeline Showa comic with Godzilla being released from the Iceberg early, fighting Varan & Rodan. Have Godzilla's design be some middle ground between the 1955 suit & the KKvs suit.
