Wait for a sale because Criterion are usually 50% off. Amazon steelbooks are always overpriced and Shin Godzilla is already in 4k on the non steel book. Haven't seen minus 1. Redline just seems overpriced for a Blu-ray so make sure you're buying from Amazon and not a third party.

I don't care what that retard thinks. Shin Godzilla is the best Godzilla ever. As I haven't seen Minus 1 I can't say much but it literally looked like Legendary slop, and those are some of the worst Godzilla movies ever made.

Redline will work only if it's Region A or Region 0 or some shit. But check if your Blu-ray player has a hidden region change mode. My 4k Panasonic player will change regions when you input a secret code with the remote. I think the movie studios are very much against region free movies but they finally gave in with 4k being all region free.

I checked amazon and I guess they stopped carrying Shin Godzilla. Maybe it's because the license expired (was it 4kids or Crunchyroll? Whoever made the shitty English dub that sounds like a fucking anime). That sucks.

I don't know whether redline is an international bluray being sold from Japan or a japanese bluray that supposedly has English subtitles
the picture makes it look like the former but I can't be sure, I don't know what region japan blurays are

minus 1 is actually a good film outright that just happens to feature godzilla
the effects are better looking than shin but shin is much more creatively directed visually because anno is god and because anno is there you have sagisu music which is god's orchestra so you have god visuals and god music for godzilla and that's why I want to spend 35 American dollars on a steelbook for it
