The show is mid, the games are mid, I played vegas first, there are some fun wacky quest, you will like it if you like westerns, third game is more polished and "whole", feels more like a real game but less fun.

I like the games a lot. I have tried twice to watch the show. I find it boring. Lucy and the black guys parts bore the shit out of me the ghoul is the only interesting one to watch imo. I only watched three episodes though. It just made me want to go play the games which I did. The main actress is CUTE though

It's only like 10 episodes, just give it a go.

The games depend on what type vidya you like. The first 2 are isometric turn based RPGs while 3, 4 and New Vegas are First/Third person shooters. The first two and NV are worth playing if you're more into the RPG aspect, 3 and 4 are worth playing if you just want a looter shooter experience in a cool setting.

If you're not a zoomer play 1 and 2, 3 and New Vegas

If you are a Zoomer just play 4 and New Vegas since season 1 is heavily based off of nu-Fallout (4) and season 2 is leaning in hard to New Vegas

If you're a casual but want to GG at playing old school 1 and 2 (1 is legitimately great but 2 is over rated IMO but still decent) maybe look up a build guide so you don't run a character with dogshit stats

3 is overhated by people for some stupid writing decisions but has a better open world exploration aspect than NV and legitimately has good DLC's (all of which you should play since it looks like they're going to be leaning into some of the lore from some going forward)

Start with season 2 is the best bet. Fallout 4 is the easiest entry point for a casual gamer, but the least relevant to the show. New Vegas is most relevant, but if you watch the show before playing FNV it won't matter whether the show is good or bad, and you can get more out of the game, perhaps.

I hope we get that rumoured Fallout 3 remake soon. I loved it at the time of release but I tried replaying it recently and it just feels too outdated for me to enjoy now
