How often did Euros execute people by beheading in this position? Seems like everyone would think to have the person bending over where the neck is perpendicular to the ground, maybe with the head/neck on a block. seems like doing it in this position risks having to take multiple swings, which I know did happen occasionally, and prolong the person's suffering.

For me it's this scene even though he didn't say anything. He didn't have to say anything. The show makes a point to demonstrate Bill's almost supernatural ability to sense danger. He knew it was coming, you could tell, and there was just resignation, acceptance, and even a bit of gratitude in his eyes.
