Actually reminds me of an old Alien comic where they put a convict hopped up on hallucinogenics in a cell with a Xenomorph Drone. The convicts sheer confidence and lack of fear caused the Xeno to back off and hide until the guys drug induced ended. Once it detected the Convicts fear, it immediate went in for the kill. AVP2's Alien Campaign story starring Arnaud Einsenberg as the Alien's main antagonist is about an outdoor scientist going on an expedition on LV-1201 following the telemetry from LV-426. There he sends those very beefy synthetics with miniguns and sniper rifles to inspect the hive and space jockey technology.

He and his team get stranded on the planet for almost 2 months because of a magnetic storm on LV-1201 right on New Years which completely takes out their defenses since sentry guns and fenced wires work via electricity. An electrical storm causes them to fail and for the aliens to instinctively slaughter everyone during the storm.

He survives for 2 months but not without eating his own crew members to survive due to the fact he runs low on water and food.

He's inspired from another doctor from the comic book Alien: Labyrinth
