In a way George is correct, if you pronounce Vader as in Dutch you get Darth Father. And in another source which I can't remember right now he says Darth is a combination of Dark and Death, and that's how you get Dark Father so he probably was misremembering and mixing his memories. This might also be the reason why he doesn't care about the pronunciation of the characters.

In the note where Dark Water is written, it also has the following variations:

The Invader part might be a reference to the Vietnam war.
