No the tencent version is a million times better, I watched that first and literally couldnโ€™t even believe how badly Netflix raped the story to the point where it barely makes sense

It's actually worse than GoT season 8 it's just no one (but me) cares about this

It absolutely sucked balls. It was waaaaaay too long, and some of the scenes are laughably bad, especially at the Panama canal. I also liked how they made the chink concentration camps seem like a fun outing.

as someone who only saw the Netflix series, what are the differences between it and the tencent version?
Anonymous No.213854487
>>213854431
They actually put effort into their adaptation cause itโ€™s โ€œle modern chinese epicโ€ that they shill. Itโ€™s like a 7/10, >>213854411 is right about it being too long and the middle drags, but I think the Netflix one was like 1/10 and everyone involved should be executed.

It is fun brainless slop. Much better than late GOT which wasn't even fun.

as youtube commenters point out , the problem of this scene is that it makes it look like she has superhuman strength. I was convinced she was a sophon at this point. But she wasnt, shes just a human.

she had a knife and surprised him. he was an unarmed fat guy who wasn't expecting to get stabbed by a girl.
i never assumed she was particularly strong just from watching this one scene.

the sophons could manipulate memory and your visual cortex, and electronics, etc
but I don't think they could manipulate matter directly

No it is a low iq show and books.

The whole premise of the show is utterly retarded.
In astrophysics you can have a star system with as many stars as you want. It just is divided into subsystems where each 2 elements are treated as a pair. E.g. you can have two stars rotating around their mass center and then have another star orbiting those two. This configuration is completely stable.
If the star system is unstable as claimed in the show that means that bodies in it would either collapse or just fly away into space.
If the star system is unstable that means that no planetary system could ever be made and no life could evolve in any form.
The "muh three body problem" in the title is the ultimate basedface wink-wink moment for midwits.

The rest of the show is muh "contact with aliens that are different from us" 101. If you've read any classical SF like Heinlein, Clarke, Lem etc you will notice that not a single original idea is offered. If that's the best the chinks writing can offer us (and it is definitely marketed this way) then I pity the chink civilizational thought development.

she effortlessly smashes him against the window, look at the window. its not realistic

>but I don't think they could manipulate matter directly
no, there is a sophon in the books taking human form, a woman wielding a katana. In season 1 it must be that woman with the katana in the simulation. I presume in season 2 she will be on Earth like in the books
I thought Tatiana was that after i saw her smash this guy. But she's not.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stability_of_the_Solar_System
>The stability of the Solar System is a subject of much inquiry in astronomy. Though the planets have historically been stable as observed, and will be in the "short" term, their weak gravitational effects on one another can add up in ways that are not predictable by any simple means.

>For this reason (among others), the Solar System is chaotic in the technical sense defined by mathematical chaos theory,[1] and that chaotic behavior degrades even the most precise long-term numerical or analytic models for the orbital motion in the Solar System, so they cannot be valid beyond more than a few tens of millions of years into the past or future โ€“ about 1% its present age.

Wow, btfo in 5 seconds.

Itโ€™s midwit chink slop custom built to appeal to redditor basedence types

Itโ€™s basically a fantasy book with a bunch of intricate magic dressed up in science buzzwords and babble, and thatโ€™s meant to distract you from the fact that the characters are soulless automatons that inspire zero emotional resonance. The concepts can be neat and imaginative but they are not delivered in an effective way because you donโ€™t really give a fuck about any of the characters or plot which are at their core.
