I think the movie they ended up making was a lot better than what Kingdom of the Sun would have been. In this one instance, the Disney executives were right.

I worked with a lady who was 57 and had that older lady skin but still had an incredible body. She was a single cat lady but God damn I was tempted quite a few times. Long story short, the intention was to make a serious Disney fable movie. A lot of it exists in the preproduction included Yzma's villain song. They scrapped all that shit and made a genuinely funny comedy.
