I just watched season 1 a few weeks ago, I was mildly looking forward to s2. Why is it so bad? S1 had its flaws but I thought the ongoing mystery with Crackstone was pretty good (and the teen romances were awful desu).

It's ok. Hodgepodge of school/camp clique tropes mixed with teen relationship drama and supernatural murder mystery works for a tv show. Decently acted and produced.

S2 is better than season 1 simply because more of the family is present more routinely. If you liked season 1 you would like season 2. The only downside to season 2 right now is that addition of the family and other side characters has a lot more arcs involved and more spread out; I think they are seeing what sticks and what doesn't.

That episode was definitely a highlight of s1. Armisen really nailed his interpretation of that character.

I get you are legitimately autistic, but meta knowledge the audience knows doesn't mean everyone in a fictional world knows that knowledge as well. Also implying a political panderer wouldn't commit white lies to people she's pandering too is nonsense; but going back to my first point, it isn't information exactly that would be known across the board, nor relevant or known enough to diminish the pandering assertation.
