Why on earth would he waste the time writing an IP script when he is not hired for it and the entire brand is now micromanaged to the letter by a pedophile bugman like James Gunn who is on a massive power-trip and wouldn't greenlight this in a million years (well, until he is ousted next year when Supergirl bombs). It also is a very uninteresting premise. The idea that it was an adaptation of the Azzarelo Joker run was far more intriguing. This is just shit.

Nolan started the fire, unironically. Whereas he was clear about the fact that he knew full well that the source material is not to be taken too seriously and his movies echoed that, these hack creators that have come after him fetishize his movies and him "making Batman cool and edgy" and double-down on it, like those losers Reeves and Phillips.
