Men in the modern world are taught from childhood to be good, law abiding, obedient and passive cucks. You can still be a good, civilized and morally correct masculine, dominant man, but it's not something that it's taught or encouraged in modern society, so you have to learn it from a father figure which might not necessarily be your dad or learn on your own (very unlikely), then there's the other option which is turning into a shitbag drug dealer or something, which is more masculine than being an obedient cuck, despite not being the ideal and carrying it's own inherent problems.
